The creation of an account through the mobile app will automatically enroll you in the Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ program. To begin, please follow these steps:

  • Download the app for in the App Store for iOS 10 and above and on Google Play.
  • Open the app. On the "Welcome" screen, select whether to sign in using your Apple ID or email.
  • Add your mobile phone number and click on the "send code" button situated in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Enter the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) text code that was sent to your mobile device and click on the "verify" button located in the upper right corner of the screen. This code is a crucial security measure designed to authenticate your account.
  • Once your phone number is successfully verified, you´ll be directed to the "profile" screen, where you can input your full name, email and phone number. You´ll also be prompted to create a password and set a 4-digit PIN. Your 4 digit PIN and mobile number allows you to earn and redeem points at the station if you´ve forgotten your phone. The phone number is also your Alt-ID at the pump and convenience store to earn and redeem rewards without your physical Exxon Mobil Rewards+ card.
  • Beyond essential details, the "profile" screen offers the option to activate an existing physical Exxon Mobil Rewards+ card and also input a referral code, if you´ve been provided one, to access any associated perks.
  • You may also sign up for emails and text messages to receive account alerts, exclusive offers and other program information to your email address and cell phone. When you use the app, you can also sign up to received them via push notifications.
  • To complete the process of creating your account, simply click the "complete" button situated in the upper right corner of the screen and then hit the "Submit" button. This action will finalize your account setup and allow you start enjoying all the features and benefits of the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ program at our participating Exxon and Mobil stations.

You can use the same account credentials (email and password) you set up when you registered your Exxon Mobil Rewards+ account online at rewards.exxon.com. To log in to the app, please follow these instructions:

  • Open the app
  • On the "welcome" screen, click the "already a member? sign in" button.
  • Enter the email and password you set up when you registered your Exxon Mobil Rewards+ account online at rewards.exxon.com. Then, click on the "sign in" button located in the upper right corner of the screen. Alternatively, you can sign in with apple.
  • Add your mobile phone number and click on the "send code" button situated at the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Enter the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) text code that was sent to your mobile device and click on the "verify" button located at the upper right corner of the screen. This code is a crucial security measure designed to authenticate your account.
  • Once your phone number is succesfully verified, you´ll be directed to the "profile" screen, for you to set up your communication preferences. We recommend you to suscribe for "email promos & offers" and "push notifications" to receive account alerts, exclusive offers and other program information to your email adress and cell phone.
  • Click the "complete" button located in the upper right corner of the screen to finalize and access the app´s home screen.

Yes, you can use the app to securely pay and earn rewards with mobile pay inside the store on eligible in-store purchases at participating Exxon and Mobil stations. Please note that the purchase of lotto/lottery, money orders, gift cards and mobile phones is not permitted for indoor mobile transactions made via the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app at participating Exxon and Mobil sites. Consistent with all applicable laws, cash will be required for these purchases.

To pay inside with your mobile app, please follow these instructions.

  • At checkout, open the app.
  • Click on the "pay in store" button from the home screen.
  • Select your payment method and click on the ´generate QR code´ button for touchless checkout. Please note that the QR code may expire if not used immediately. If it expires, please generate a new one.
  • You can also select how many points you’d like to redeem for dollars off in the mobile app before you generate the QR code.
  • After generating the QR code in the app, display it to the cashier for scanning. When finished, you will get an e-receipt on the app.

Please note that location services must be enabled on your phone in order to pay inside the store with your mobile. Please be advised that currently, the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app does not support Apple Pay tech wallet for mobile pay inside the store.

The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app keeps track of your total Exxon Mobil Rewards+ points earned, which are available for redemption. You can track your points on the homescreen. You can also track your progress towards tier status, such us Premium status and Frequent Filler, and have access to a history of your loyalty transactions made through the app. To learn more, sign into the app and open the "rewards" section located on the lower main menu, and from there, select any of the tabs available within that section to view your points balance, status or activity.

The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app accepts all major credit cards, Exxon Mobil Personal Cards, Exxon Mobil Smart Card+™, Exxon Mobil Direct Debit+™ (ACH debit payment) and tech wallets, including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay and Master Card Click to Pay. At this time, the app does not support the ExxonMobil Fleet Card or gift cards. Please be advised that currently, the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app does not support Apple Pay tech wallet for mobile pay inside the store.
Exxon Mobil takes privacy very seriously, so your location will be used in accordance with our privacy policies. The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app obtains your location from your mobile phone through its geo-location feature. Please ensure this feature is turned on for the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app. If your location-based services are turned on, the app will be able to identify which station you are at. If your location-based services are turned off, or there is interference, you will be directed to scan the QR code located on the pump. To learn more about nearby stations, open the "station" section located on the lower main menu.

The Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ app has the same security standards as required of banks, so your data is kept private and secure. The initial setup process also has built-in customer authentication steps to confirm the validity of the customer and payment method.

The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app is powered by Speedpass+ technology. Speedpass+ technology builds upon Exxon Mobil’s history of innovation at the pump, including the debut of the first pay-at-the-pump service in the 1980s, the launch of radio frequency identification (RFID)-enabled touchless payment in the 1990s and the implementation of mobile payment options at pumps across its network in the 2000s. Speedpass+ is the namesake of Exxon and Mobil’s first fuel payment app and lives on as the infrastructure and communication method which supports mobile payment transactions in our Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app today, allowing users to safely and securely pay for gas, earn points and get rewarded.

Adding payment sources

Launch the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app. Select "Account" from the lower right menu, then scroll to "wallet" where you can add or edit a credit or debit card.
The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app currently limits users to 2 credit / debit cards in the wallet, plus the tech wallet and Direct Debit+.
Fuel pumps require you to provide a payment method (credit card or debit card) before activating the pump. However, you will not be charged when buying fuel if your points cover the cost of your purchase. When using your credit or debit card, you may see a preauthorization hold based on your card’s bank or payment provider that would be removed based on their standard process.
If you have a digital wallet set up on your compatible devices, simply download the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app and create an account. Your digital wallet information is automatically added to your account as a payment method. If you set up your digital wallet after downloading the Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ app, you would add the digital wallet information like you would any other payment method (by going to your "Account" > "Wallet" > "Add a payment method").
At this time, the Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ app supports Visa, American Express, MasterCard and Discover when using a digital wallet as your payment method.
Your bank/device support centers (Apple, Samsung, MasterCard) are ready to help you with any issue you may encounter when adding credit or debit cards to your device. Please contact your applicable support center for assistance.

About ExxonMobil´s branded payment programs

No, if you use Exxon Mobil Smart Card+ as your payment method, you get instant price per gallon savings on fuel and a statement credit on in-store and car wash purchases instead of accumulating Exxon Mobil Rewards+ points. Transactions made with Exxon Mobil Smart Card+ do not contribute toward Exxon Mobil Rewards+ tiers like Premium status and Frequent Filler. If you would like to earn Exxon Mobil Rewards+ points, please use a different payment method with your qualifying Exxon Mobil Rewards+ purchase.
The option to apply for the Exxon Mobil Smart Card+ through the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app is temporarily unavailable. We plan to reinstate this feature at a later time and our team is actively working on it. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Please apply at smartcardplus.com. During the application process, you will be directed to Citibank, the issuer of the card. Citibank uses encryption for application information. To enroll for Exxon Mobil Direct Debit+ you must download the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app and have a checking account.

  • Launch the Exxon Mobil app.
  • Select "Account"
  • Select "Wallet", then click on the "Add payment" located at the upper right side of the screen.
  • Select "Exxon Mobil Direct Debit+" to begin the enrollment process. Enter your personal information and your banking credentials.
  • After your Direct Debit+ account is linked to the selected checking account, a digital account will be automatically added to the mobile app so you can start paying with Exxon Mobil Direct Debit+ in the app immediately.

No. We do not support split payments for indoor mobile transactions using the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app.
While the in-app payment QR code is presented to the cashier to scan and process an indoor mobile payment for a specified in-store transaction, the loyalty barcode only contains information related to your rewards account and is often scanned to still accrue or redeem rewards points during a transaction when a physical loyalty card is forgotten.
You will be able to see the offers on items in the convenience store for the Exxon™ or Mobil™ station you are fueling at based on your location. Your location services must be enabled for these to appear.
When you are authorizing the pump to pay for fuel or generating the QR code to pay inside, you can select a car wash, if it is available at that Exxon™ or Mobil™ station. The car wash code can be found on the receipt screen or in your "transaction history" on the Account screen. The code expiration date will also appear on the digital receipt. You can redeem this car wash code at any time before the expiration date.

To set your receipt preferences, please open the app and visit the "account" > "settings" > "notification" section, where you can select how you’d like to receive your receipt. You can choose to receive receipts through email or at the pump.

When you register for an Exxon Mobil Rewards+ account online or in the app, enter the referral code during registration. Your bonus points rewards will depend on the Terms & Conditions for that specific referral code promotion. You do not need a referral code for registration.
You´ll earn 100 bonus points for each friend you refer who fully registers and makes a loyalty fuel purchase (min. 5 gallons) or qualifying C-store purchase in our rewards program. You can refer up to 5 friends within a calendar month. To refer-a-friend, open the app and go to "account" > "Refer-a-friend". Generate the referral code and opt to send it via SMS, email, or more to a friend, family or colleague, and have them enter it during the rewards program registration. The only place you can find the referral code is in the app.

Prior to generating the in-app payment QR code, ensure that all items rang up by the cashier at checkout for the specified purchase are eligible. Combining eligible and non-eligible in-store in a single indoor mobile payment transaction through the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app will result in a declined transaction.
